Getting It Done!

I got up at the usual 6.20am. Had my shower and a quick check at the PC and my breakfast which consisted of: oats, dates, banana and almond milk. Time to wake the boys up, make their breakfasts and then straight into housework. Dishwasher going, downstairs floors vaccumed, kitchen floor swiffered, clean laundry put away, sink cleaned, cat fed and watered..PHEW! That all feels good!!
After all that houeswork I decided to snack on 3 almond thins...YUM!

31 Years Today

It is mine and my husbands 31st Wedding Anniversary today...WOW! 31 years.

I had oats, dates, banana and almond milk for breakfast today, I also decided to sprinkle a little cinnamon on top this time..YUM!

I am feeling a tad constipated again so I decided to have the above for breakfast instead of a smoothie.

Later in the day I ate a little bit of chicken and cooked veg, nice but didn't feel as satisfied as I would after eating a raw meal. Basically I celebrated our 31st Wedding Anniversary by eating an animal....oh my! I think I have lost the taste for chicken also now!!!!!! I rarely ate it anyway but I dont want it at all now!! :)

Shame On Me

Yes, shame on me!...why oh why did I? I just don't know but late-ish, actually, about 7.00pm yesterday I had another bag of chips followed by a packet of milky buttons.

Okay, that is twice in one week that I have eaten chippy chips and I have to say, that within an hour of eating them I started to feel rather unwell; sickly, heavy headed, sluggish and generally unwell, not good at all! I kept thinking that after eating my raw meals I never feel unwell, obviously my body trying to tell me something eh!? STOP eating the rubbish!! Don't eat even one meal of rubbish! Especially if it makes me feel unwell after eating it! It is just not worth it!

Anyway, I am going to make a smoothie for breakfast. Oh! We popped along to my Mothers last night and she kept offering me food i.e. pâté on melba toast, baked potato with coronation chicken etc etc but I refused, partly because I didn't feel hungry because raw really does satisfy and partly because it was processed and cooked, but then on our way home we drive past the chip shop and we stopped:( so my hunger came back by that time:(

I'm moving on and leaving yesterday behind.

This smoothie was delicious. I put in blueberries, strawberries, almond milk and protein powder..YUMMY!!

Raw Food

The sun is shining today..BLISS!
I had a lovely smoothie for breakfast today.

Breakfast

Berries; strawberries, blueberries and a few blackberries. Almond milk and raw protein powder...YUMMY!

A delicious smoothie

Last night  I made two of Russell James' breads; one garlic and one plain. I also made a half batch of Russell James' almond thins, these are SOOO Delicious, very moreish!!

These recipes are from Russell James' raw cheese ebook.

This bread is so soft and spongey, if you click on the photo you can see how spongey it is:) I am thinking of making raw butter from Hallelujah Diets.

Oops! I didn't get back.

Thursday's Weigh In

Good morning...just; the time is 11.42am. I have done my weigh in and I have updated my stats on my weigh in page and this week I have lost 2lb...WooHooo I put this down to taking pics and blogging exactly what I eat each day, so of course I am going to continue doing this.

Breakfast

Grapefruit juice...YUM!

*UPDATE* - 3.10pm
I decided to vacuum, polish and swiffer my downstairs floors, this is supposed to be yesterdays job but it's done now ayway.

I put some almonds in to soak because I am going to make almond milk, smoothie using the milk and Russell James' garlic bread and hopefully Russell James' almond thins also...YUM!

I didn't have much for lunch because of being busy, but I'm not feeling hungry very much today anyway, so all is good:)

Lunch

Yep, 2 banana's and yep, that and the grapefruit juice is all I have eaten today, just not a hungry day today. I am going to have a salad for my evening meal. I will be back to blog about anything else I may have or make today.

*UPDATE* - 7.26pm
Well, on Monday I had a joined triple head daffodil and this afternoon I have had a joined mushroom:)

Is That All?!

The time is 2.05pm and all I have eaten today is 1 banana and I had a glass of water with that. I had that at about 7am. I then wired the plug back on my citrus juicer, it came off when I was pulling the wire out which was caught on something, but instead of making a citrus juice I decided to doze, the time was about 9.30am and I didn't wake up until 12.00pm...that was two and a half hours. I felt very tired this morning and I still feel rather tired now..detox?!?

Breakfast

*UPDATE*
This afternoon I had a handful of cheesy kale. For my evening meal I admit to having a chunky Kit Kat then a bag of chips from the chippy, and a slice of buttered bread...Oh Noooooo! The Kit Kat and chips were a one off blip and tomorrow is another day. I am more eating raw and I will put this blip behind me and move on.
Weigh day tomorrow.

Back tomorrow.

Raw In Pics

I woke up at 5.30am and got out of bed at 6.20am. I had my shower and then decided to make a smoothie for breakfast; a papaya smoothie...YUM!
I made this using my Tribest, of course:)

Breakfast

I used two small papaya, a banana and coconut water.

*UPDATE* - 2.41pm
I dozed off for about an hour and a half this morning. Shortly after I woke up the boys were home for their lunch. I had had nothing to eat or drink except water since this morning, and to be honest, a cup of coffee also. I was starting to feel hungry and it is all too easy to grab a packet of crisps but I didn't and I immediately turned my thoughts to juice, so I made a green juice.

Lunch

I juiced romaine lettuce, carrots, apple and I then threw in some spirulina...YUM! I made a large kilner/mason jar of it, gone now though, in my tummy:)

So up to now today I have had a smoothie and a large green juice.
Back later for my evening meal and anything else for today:)

*UPDATE* - 7.10pm
I have just finished my evening meal and yes I did leave some as there happened to be a humongous amount on my plate. I had spring rolls....YUM! One of my favourites.

Evening Meal

I used my new Benriner mandolin to shred the carrot (pic of the mandolin in last months posts, BUSY DAY POST) this was the first time using it and OH, MY, GOODNESS!! This thing is EXTREMELY sharp...I need one of those gloves to use with it because I am SOOO accident prone! And everyone in this house knows exactly what is going to happen, but I was extra cautious using it!!!
As you can see I prepared carrots, red pepper, tomato, cucumber, courgettes, avocado and alfalfa sprouts.

The pic above is the spring rolls all done. I had some sweet n sour sauce left from yesterdays evening meal so I had some of that with my spring rolls. I did want peanut sauce but I just couldnt be fathed to make it. I am terrible for throwing food away if it isn't eaten that day...such a waste! But now I am trying to use up left overs hence having sweet n sour sauce. The pepper and courgette were also left overs from yesterdays evening meal and the tomato and cucumber were left overs from when I prepared my husbands packed lunch this evening. The peanut sauce would have been much nicer with spring rolls. I still have left over sweet n sour sauce so I am thinking of having that tomorrow lunch time with a few veg.

Today I have also consumed 2 bananas and I confess to having a quarter piece of buttered bread which I ate whilst preparing my husbands packed lunch. I would normally have eaten the full slice but Adam wanted some and then James wanted some so I was more than happy to give them the rest before they tucked into their evening meal which was boiled potatoes, green beans, carrots and chicken breasts cooked in a garlic and tomato sauce, I cook the chicken breast in the sauce for 2 hours, it comes out SOOO tender, they love this meal:) Yep, I am making different meals every meal time, always have done and probably always will, often I have had to make 4 different meals cause one doesn't like what the other does and so on, but I don't mind!

Well, that is it for today. Back tomorrow

Monday, 22 April 2013

Good Morning

I thought I would start this breezy Monday morning off with a photo of a daffodil I have growing in a flower pot in my garden.

It is a three headed daffodil. I have never seen a 3 headed daffodil before, or do I just need to get out more?:)

The above photo is a bit blurry because the wind kept catching it just as I was snapping the photo. I took quite a few of this side of the daffodil and each time, the wind blew...typical!

Feeling :) today and not too tense:)

I have had oats, dates, banana and almond milk for breakfast today. It is now 10.04am

*UPDATE*
I fell asleep again this morning, I slept for about two and a half hours and was woken up by my sons knocking at the door...WOW! I must have been completely out!

When I woke up I put more laundry into wash and then I made a green juice. It was a very simple green juice consisting of romaine lettuce, a small piece of cucumber, apple and pear.

This looks more like the dish water colour, but it was really nice and will do me good.

*UPDATE* - 3.50pm Feeling peckish

Cheesy kale and of course a glass of water because the kale is dehydrated.
Have to say that the bowl the kale is in is only a small bowl, I know it looks big but it isn't!

I am going to have to pop to Asda for a cauliflower for part of my evening meal.

*UPDATE* - 8.05pm
I had a cauliflower in my fridge so I didn't need to go to Asda. Hey! I'm sure that green juice gave me energy because after I made the family their evening meal I decided to grab the vacuum and I vacuumed the floors upstairs and the stairs. This job is on my housework rota for tomorrow. I had the green juice about 2-ishpm and by about 5.30pm - 6.00pm I was feeling energised and my head felt clearer:):):)

Right, my evening meal. Sweet n Sour Vegetable by  RawFusion. I couldn't finish this meal off, I was so full.

This was DELICIOUS!! And I am definitely making this again!! I got this from You Tube, infact, below is the video. This is well worth making if you like sweet n sour!!

Well, there you have it, my full day of raw meals that I have consumed today. I will post pics of tomorrows meals, and on that note I will say, "night night and I will be back tomorrow with more pics and my day."

Night night

Grandson, Jayden

Well, Jayden slept pretty much all night but he had us up at 6.30am, and I have to say that it wasn't a comfy nights sleep as we had Jayden in with us. We have been out for a walk this morning and Jayden is once again in the land of nod.

Raw In Pictures

I just didn't get to do all my pictures yesterday, but today is a new day. I had a visitor yesterday and I was completely disorganised.

This morning I am having the oat breakfast.

Breakfast
Oats, not raw. I could have rolled some raw oats in my flaker, but again I grabbed the packet oats. I threw on medjool dates, sliced banana and almond milk.
I know this is the same pic that I had uploaded for yesterday's breakfast but todays breakfast is exactly the same as yesterday's so I just used the same pic this time.

Since my Dad passed away I have been left wondering, stressing, worrying and I am very keen on finding out why my Dad was a particular way with me the day before he passed away. Since that day I have felt flat and feeling that I am bordering on depression on and off all the time, I have to keep fighting this so as not to sink into a deep depression, but anyway, that is one of the reasons I went to see Derek Acorah, I wouldn't care but Derek Acorah came to me and asked me about stroking a grans arm, but dopey me just sat there and said, "I don't know, I don't know," HOW THICK!:( Surely I would remember if I stroked a grans arm...DURRR! I just could not think and I was put on the spot and all I could think about was, is this my Dad coming through a different member of the family? I was desperately trying to think, suddenly the person behind me chipped in and said it was her. Anyway, that is how I am feeling most days; flat and bordering on depression and that is how I am feeling today. I am saying this because I am going to say how I feel throughout the day and how raw is affecting me, good or bad.

Today: Feeling flat, always trying not to sink into a deep depression even though I am on medication for depression I still have to work not to sink. Feeling tired today, as usual.

*UPDATE*
I fell asleep this afternoon for a couple of hours. When I woke up I had a bagged broccoli salad that I bought from Costco, of course the dressing and cashews inside were not raw.

Evening Meal

As you can see I wasn't fussy as to what bowl I ate my meal from:)

I haven't had any juices or smoothies today, naughty! I say naughty because having these things are on my daily menu's on my tracker, two of each.

It has been a difficult day today, my mother and sister popped along and this sometimes causes tension, as it has today, and of course this has left me feeling rather down, more than just flat.

We have got our youngest grandson, Jayden over night tonight and into tomorrow evening, this will be lovely!

I will be back later with pics of anything else I scoff or drink, hopefully a green juice, or two:)

I had a banana today also.

Back tomorrow.

My Raw In Pictures

I got up this morning at around 7.30am. I done some housework and then had breakfast

Oats, not raw, I could have rolled some raw oats in my flaker but I grabbed the packet oats for quickness. I added about 4 dates and sliced banana and then poured almond milk over. That is breakfast.

Weigh In & Night Out.

I stayed the same:( I thought that I would have lost a tad because of walking last week, I thought it might have got things going, but nope, it hasn't, ah well, that is just the way it is, I will just have to do better!

*UPDATE*
I went out tonight with my eldest son, Michael's girlfriend, we went to see Derek Acorah. He came to me but the lady behind me chipped in and said it was her he wanted. I was hoping my Dad and my Peaches would come through, maybe they would have if that lady hadn't chipped in, I don't know. I'm kind of feeling sad now that my Dad and Peaches didn't come through but it was a good evening, I enjoyed it very much! I spoke to Derek after the show and I got his autograph and a photo with him.

Isn't Derek Acorah so good looking!?

After seeing that photo and my disappearing neck on the photo above, I am DEFINITELY going to do something about this flab and I have decided that as of tomorrow, I am going to take photos of every single thing I eat during the day and I am going to post the pics on here, I feel doing this will make me more accountable.

Well that is me for today. I will be back tomorrow with pics:)

It's Raining

Yep, it's raining :)

I have had oats, dates, banana and almond milk for breakfast this morning...YUM!
I am going to be having my juices and smoothies throughout today.

*UPDATE*
My first smoothie in my Tribest P Blender. I made a very quick smoothie; a banana, strawberries and coconut water smoothie.

I thought this cup would be too small but it certainly was not, this cup held loads.

*UPDATE*
I made four trays of cheesey kale...YUM!..My favourite, and my boys favourite.

Back tomorrow.

April's Purchase

A couple of year ago I used to buy something to help me with raw every month and I would post it on here each month, I have decided to do that again no matter how large or small the item, so for April's purchase, here it is: The Tribest Personal Blender

Above, the Tribest still boxed.

Above, the Tribest unboxed.

I bought this from Juiceland (click on Juiceland)

The Tribest Personal Blender is on sale at the moment with free delivery. I have bought a lot from Juiceland over the years, they are great! They email with a tracking number to let you know when the item has been dispatched and it is always next day delivery:) Lets face it, we all get impatient for our purchases to arrive and next day delivery is GREAT! The service, packaging, communications and delivery are all FANTASTIC! And no, I don't work for them, I am simply very happy to buy from Juiceland! Oh! And I don't work for Tribest either.

This personal blender will be fab for doing my smoothies in the morning as I am starting to incorporate two smoothies into my daily menu. The Tribest will of course be fab for doing loads of other things i.e. grinding nuts and seeds, salad dressings etc etc but I did have my daily smoothies in mind when I bought it! I know I could do smoothies in my Vitamix and I have, often! But I try to keep things quiet in the morning so as not to wake the boys up too early. If the boys want a smoothie they can just blend their own up:) I have a magic bullet and this doesn't wake the boys up so I am assuming the Tribest wont be too noisy either. My Magic Bullet is past it best as the blade parts are cracked so this will not be hygienic, I think this is because I was putting the parts in the dishwasher but I wont be putting the Tribest parts in the dishwasher. I will let you know how I get on with the Tribest Personal Blender.

My eldest son, Michael visited this morning and he stayed for a while, I LOVE it when he stays!!!!!

*UPDATE*
I am going to get on and make my first smoothie using my Tribest P Blender tomorrow. I have planned in 2 green juices and 2 smoothies into my day, every day, and not forgetting the 8 glasses or more of water per day:)

All I have done tonight is measure the loft floor for when we buy the carpet up there. I plan on buying this next month sometime, this wont be my monthly purchase though.

I will be back tomorrow:)

I Printed All My....

Trackers out over the weekend and I stocked up with fresh produce etc so I am all ready to get more raw...WooHoo.
I know that my trackers aren't printing properly on my trackers page, so I will have to work on that for anyone that wants to use them.

I just have housework on the agenda today, I may also go for a walk later, I will see, although it is blowing a hoolie out there today and I hate walking in the wind:(

*UPDATE*
I didn't go out for a walk

Groceries & Kale Saga

We were out most of yesterday buying and stocking up our grocery cupboard and fridge stocks....it feels good again!
My hubby has just popped out to also stock up on loo and  kitchen rolls, face tissues etc. We buy these things from a different wholesalers.

The weather yesterday was glorious! The sun was shining and it was warm, but today it is completely different; overcast, very windy, colder etc.

Yesterday our first port of call was Tesco for my sweet onions and kale, kale because Asda has stopped stocking kale:( I can't see why Asda should stop selling kale because it sells like crazy and they used to sell out at Asda also, even the massive Tesco only had two bags left, and today my hubby went to a different Tesco and they only had one bag left, so kale does sell really well. Anyway, after Tesco I popped into the Nutricentre to buy Udo's oil, carob which I mix along with cacao, it tames the bitterness somewhat. I also bought nutritional yeast and coconut sugar.
Then we were off to Costco...WooHoo - LOVE Costco!! I tried to keep it down in Costco and I did by about £80....GO ME!! I stocked up on all my lovely goodies of fruit and veg...YUM!

After Costco it was back home. Our eldest GORGEOUS son, Michael came along with his little son, our CUTE little grandson who is also called Michael:) They then all piled into our car with also GORGEOUS Adam and James and went off to Newcastle to some art centre store. There were three generations in that car:) Dad, sons and grandson:) I didn't go, I stopped at home and put groceries away.

Later on we went to the wholesalers but because my hubby didn't put the clock forward in the car, when we got there the wholesalers was closing...heehee hence my hubby going back today...DOH!

Well that is me for now. I am incredibly tired today, heck, I don't know why because I slept quite good last night and had about 11 hours sleep, albeit disturbed sleep but that is normal for me, the fact was, that when I stirred I did fall back to sleep quickly:)

*UPDATE*
Hubby has just phoned me from Asda and guess what? They have kale back in stock, that is after I went to Tesco yesterday and my hubby went to a different Tesco today to buy kale.
Two weeks ago Asda said they stopped stocking kale and now they are stocking it again....strange. We asked an Asda member of staff two weeks ago and they actually told us that this item had been deleted from Asda and they dont think they will be selling it any longer, ah well, I am pleased they are stocking it again now, one thing though, I bought the last 2 bags of Kale from Tesco yesterday, hubby bought last bag of Kale from a different Tesco this morning and I also asked hubby to buy the last 4 bags of kale from Asda this afternoon, so that is 7 bags of kale I have in the house:) All good though!:)

Back later today or tomorrow.

How On Earth?

I weighed in this morning and I gained:( How on earth have I gained?! I am completely bamboozled with this one!
Maybe my efforts this week will show next week, well here's hoping!

I have managed the loo today, so pleased and a lot more comfortable:)

I had oats, medjool dates, sliced banana and almond milk again this morning and later on I had a glass of apple juice.

I have vacuumed all the upstairs and I am going to also do the downstairs floors later today.
I also finally sorted that kitchen cupboard:)

Back later!:)

Another One!

Yep, we done our 45 minute walk again today...WooHoo! I feel great from it!:) And thankfully we didn't come across any undesirables during our walk:)

I had oats, lots of medjool dates and almond milk for breakfast this morning and I'm still not happy at the loo...TMI My doctor told me to increase my fibre even more, so that is what I am trying to do. I wont give in...no siree!!

Tomorrow I am going to get stuck into a load of housework, can't wait:) No, really! I find housework very satisfying! And it keeps my body active, just what I need, just what we all need!

You know what? I don't hounestly have much to report today.

So I shall say, night night for now

Get On Our Feet

I was up with hubby this morning and then I dozed back off, I wouldn't care but I have not fallen back to sleep through any part of the day for that last three days, but this morning I did, doesn't matter though.
Well, myself and James are going to get on our feet and we are going for a walk. It is 11.34am and we are going in about 10 minutes, not a long walk, about 40 minutes. We are going to try to get this walk in daily, or certainly most days. I know it will do me the power of good!! It will do us both the power of good!!
I have had a banana and strawberry smoothie for breakfast.

*UPDATE*
We are back from our walk. I noticed the time when we set off and it is actually 45 minutes to do that walk:) I can feel it now!:)
When we were on our walk and passing McDonald's there was a group of people, two lads, a girl and kiddies and they were spread over the whole path which made it awkward to know where James and myself could walk, so of course I just kept on my way and I sort of walked in front of one of the lads, not deliberately but then he did with me also and I got verbally attacked for it...pffft I mean where am I supposed to walk when the whole width of the path was taken by these people. They all looked as high as kites and one of the lads was all cuts and bruises. I didn't say nothing, I didn't dare with people like that!
When I got back in the house I drank two glasses of water, and I also got some laundry into the machine.
Time now: 1.25pm.

*UPDATE*
I had a yummy salad for my evening meal.

Back tomorrow.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho....

♪It's off to the doctors I go♫. I am going to get my blood results and to hand the form in that I had to fill out. I will be back to update when I get back. I have decided to walk to my doctors, I could easily jump in the car and drive but nope! I am going to walk. I am still dizzy today so more steaming to do later, when I get back.

I felt quite faint and sickly shortly after I got up so I had a banana, and when I get back I am going to do a juice.

*UPDATE*
I did indeed walk to the doctors and back which I am very pleased about:)
My bloods, well, my cholesterol is up to 8.4...OH MY GOODNESS! But my triglycerides have dropped dramatically from 9. something to 2. something...I know...AMAZING ISN'T IT?!

Here are a few links:
Triglyceride Levels
Triglycerides

My doctor told me that animal fats play a part in raising the triglyceride levels and I immediately chipped in and told my doctor that I am eating a raw food diet, or most of the time, he was pleased to hear that. It goes to show that my raw food has had an impact on my body in my blood fat level and what we eat does definitely affect our bodies.

My LDL levels have dropped to 1.6 whereas this level was, if I remember rightly, to be in the 5. something or 6. something.

I can't remember what my HDL levels are, actually I am sure they were 2.4 or certainly 2. something.

My doctor told me that, although overall my levels aren't good, I'm not to worry over them, I am doing canny he said:) and now he knows I am eating raw foods, and the fact that I don't smoke or have heart disease:)
My doctor is REALLY GREAT! I just can't fault him AT ALL!!

Blood Levels

Inside your cholesterol numbers:

The blood test measures:
Total cholesterol. This is a measure of LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and other lipid components.

LDL (low density lipoprotein cholesterol). LDL cholesterol can build up on the walls of your arteries and increase the chances of getting heart disease. That is why LDL cholesterol is referred to as ‘bad’ cholesterol. The lower your LDL cholesterol number, the better it is for your health.

HDL (high density lipoprotein cholesterol, also called "good" cholesterol) HDL cholesterol protects against heart disease by taking the "bad" cholesterol out of your blood and keeping it from building up in your arteries. A higher number for this cholesterol is a good sign.

Triglycerides (fats carried in the blood from the food we eat. Excess calories, alcohol or sugar in the body are converted into triglycerides and stored in fat cells throughout the body.)
The NHS says for healthy adults:

Total cholesterol should be 5.0 millimoles per litre (mmol/l) or lower. The average in the UK is actually around 5.5 mmol/l for men and 5.6 mmol/l for women.

LDL cholesterol should be 3mmol/L or lower

HDL level above 1 mmol/l

Triglyceride level under 1.7 mmol/l
People with higher risks, such as heart disease or high blood pressure will be set lower targets:

Total cholesterol of 4mmol/L or lower

LDL of 2mmol/L or lower
Cholesterol numbers are used to calculate the overall risk of coronary heart disease.
The ratio of total cholesterol to HDL - total cholesterol divided by HDL - should be below 4.
Doctors will set individual cholesterol targets for patients based on their overall risk factors. Treatment may involve diet changes to cut down on bad fats, increasing exercise, or taking cholesterol lowering medication, such as statins.

have eaten 3 banana's today, no juice or smoothie yet, but the day is still young, it is 1pm.
I had a salad for my evening meal.

All Sorts

The sun is shining today so we are going to get the outside of the windows cleaned. Hubby is cleaning the car at the moment before we start the windows. I help my hubby do the windows but only by standing on the bottom of the ladder:)

I have decided to plant my fruit and nut tree's directly into the garden instead of having them in giant pots. Apparently these tree's are able to stay in pots but I feel they would benefit more from being in the ground, so many folk have said that their tree's have flourished in the ground but they haven't got much from them whilst they have been kept in pots, we'll see.
I originally had 7 tree's but I only have 4 now as they others have died, maybe because they have been growing in pots.

I still have dizziness:( but I a steaming twice daily to help it. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow to get my blood test results and to hand the form back to him.

I have started today day off with a banana and strawberry smoothie..YUM! I made a mistake yesterday because I bought a couple of packets of pink n whites wafers that were on offer...eye's bigger than my belly...ummm is that possible?....I doubt it, but anyway, the wafers are now in the house....DOH!

It is cold today....brrrr
My mother visited yesterday and she is visiting again today, and I think our eldest son, Michael is popping round also.

A Lot Better!

I am of course missing Peachy like CRAZY!! But I am feeling quite a lot better overall and am able to handle the loss of my Peachy a lot better.

I was up at about 9.30am and I have not slept today, but over this last week I have felt VERY drained, run down and EXTREMELY tired and have slept LOADS, but today, I have only just started to feel tired and it is now, 3.35pm so I am clearly starting to feel better, of course I will be awake until we go to bed.

We bought a TV link today so we can watch Sky TV whilst in bed which will be nice, there are only so many times we can watch DVD's in bed, we love our DVD's i.e. Miss Marples, British comedies etc but it would be nice to watch Sky TV in bed also.

I have been raw today but have only had a banana and a smoothie. The family have offered me processed but I have just said, "no thanks" and not felt the urge to still have the processed...TICK VG for me!

May be back later, if not then I will be back tomorrow.

Not today

Today wasn't the day to start. I am not feeling it and I still want to get my kitchen straightened which I am doing today. I thought I would start my raw food plan today aswell as my kitchen sorting and cleaning, but nope! I just want everything set, so tomorrow is the day.
I weighed in for my first official weigh in so I am going to get a new graph started for that on my home page (on the left), so that is a slight start.

I have been doing laundry, cleaning and sorting and cleaning my kitchen today. I am still feeling the loss of my Peachy but I am starting to feel a little more better and I know eating right will help. I am feeling very tired and run down lately also, maybe the stress of everything that has been going on is catching up more but I know that will be sorted with juices. I know what I need to do to help myself and I am going to tomorrow, infact, I might even have a green juice tonight.

I dont think I have anything else to report today but hopefully tomorrow is going to be a better day.

Back tomorrow.

Bright, Sunny Day

The sun is shining today. Our clocks went forward on Easter Sunday so the good ole British Summertime has begun...yeah right:) It might be sunny but it is still cold.

I am starting my raw tracking again tomorrow and I am rather looking froward to it:)
I am going to get through some housework today so my space, my home that is is all clean, ready and prepared, and it prepares me mentally.

I am feeling okay today and maybe a tinzy winzy bit better about letting Peaches go to sleep forever.

Tomorrow I am incorporating juices and smoothies into my daily raw intake. I am going to soak some seeds for sprouting also.

Today I had my none raw granola that I made last night and despite being on medication for acid I have still had acid all day...more proof that I need to eat clean raw food.

*UPDATE*
I have vacuumed the whole house, swiffered the kitchen floor, washed the rugs and done some laundry, and I have also coloured my hair. Tomorrow I am going to polish all the furniture, more laundry; the bedding I think, and also wipe the doors over and clean my kitchen and patio window and doors.

The acid has calmed down and I am feeling okay and looking forward to getting back on track tomorrow. I may do myself a manicure tomorrow, pamper myself a little bit.

Well, that is me for today, back tomorrow.

Another Step

Today I feel a bit more accepting as to what has happened over the weekend, another step of the greiving process. I don't want to bring you all down with my sadness about my Peachy, although I probably already have and if so, I am sorry! I will try not to go on about her too much, us being sad is quite enough.

Thankyou Marsha for your lovely emails, we really appreciated them!! Thankyou!!

I still have only had a banana today but I am thinking of having something else later. It is now 2.30pm.

*UPDATE*
I had a salad for my evening meal. I have made some granola this evening, not raw unfortunately but I am trying to eat more healthy for a couple of days, just until I feel a bit better.

I am planning on getting fully back on my raw track again starting on Thursday, that is more what I am preparing myself mentally for.

Back tomorrow

A Sad April Fools Day

No joking around to be had in this house. We are grieving so much for our Peachy. The older we have got the harder things like this hit us and the harder they are to get through:(
We buried Peachy last night and today we have made her little grave BEAUTIFUL. We have planted some dwarf daffodils on her grave and my hubby is going to engrave a little brass plaque for her, so nice!

The night before she was put to sleep forever she was meowing pitiful meows all the time, and she had deteriorated, so my hubby took her to the emergency vets yesterday and that is when the vet told him about Peaches kidneys and how she will be feeling and what the vet felt we needed to think about. This was one of the hardest decisions to make, but for Peachy we had to let her go:(

I have eaten much over the last day or two. I haven't felt like eating at all! I'm trying though. I had a banana earlier.

I may get back later today but if not then I will be back tomorrow.

Please bear with me, we are all EXTREMELY SAD AND UPSET!:(
