Last Day

The last day of August and I am ready for a new month, bring on September!!
I am setting myself challenges for September of which I am hoping will carry on permanently, well, not the Christmas one as that comes but once a year, from September to December anyway :)
Here is my September challenge list:

NO to sugary processed snack foods, only the raw sweet snack foods.
YES to exercise or movement each day.
YES to start jewellery making.
YES to meal planning for myself and my family.
YES to drinking 1.5 to 2 ltr of water each day, doing it slowly.
YES to drinking more herbal tea's instead of coffee.
YES to starting Christmas shopping.
YES to blogging at least every other day.

Check out the YES list, a positive word, YES, although the NO will amount to a positive!
I will print this list out and stick it somewhere I will see it everyday and often throughout the day, infact, I will print a couple of them out!

The avenue has been rather gorgeous and quiet today, much like it was when we purchased our house, and all because one family hasn't been home all day...WOW!!! What a difference one family makes just by not being there....AMAZING!!

I've just printed out September challenges and I am going to run a line of the non permanent glue along the back and stick one on the computer monitor and the other in my kitchen.

The kitchen had that lovely cheesey kale aroma in it this morning. When the boys got up James came to me later in the morning and asked, "Mam, can I get more of the kale?" I didn't even tell him it was ready, he just loves it, so does my other son...FAB!

Right then, that is me for today.

Weigh In

I am planning on drinking more juice today, and I must move more, exercise! :)

*update*
I have been so busy today, I vacuumed the whole house, steam cleaned the kitchen floor which I have taken to doing every night so as not to encourage any ants or such like, so by vacuuming and cleaning the kitchen floor nightly there wont be any particles of food lying around and the floor has been sanitised by steaming. I put detol in the water for my steamer...smells so clean!!!
I cleaned my bathroom and cleaned the upstairs and downstairs loo's, I got the dishwasher going and put that lot away and just cleaned other areas of my home.

I started sprouting a jar of alfalfa sprouts and I made some cheesey sauce a day or so ago and tonight I washed some kale and made kale chips...YUM!!

Matcha Tea

I made that Matcha tea and it. was. DELICOUS!!

I frothed the milk using my milk frother. I really like Matcha tea but there are certain things we need to adhere to when drinking Matcha tea. Watch the video below.



I only had Matcha tea bags so I steeped the tea bag in a small amount of hot water. I added a little agave. I then put just under 1 cup of almond milk into my Dualit milk frother which heats the milk also. I poured the brewed Matcha tea into the cup and then poured the frothed, heated milk into the brewed tea. I then sprinkled the Matcha powder that was in the packet on top of the milk. YUM!!

Doing Good

I had a healthy raw day yesterday with drinks, salad and fruit. I used my Tefal Fresh Express Max and IT IS BRILLIANT!! Much better than the original!

I started my day off with a protein shake, I found the recipe on You Tube.

 
1c Ice
1 Scoop Protein Powder
1tb Cacao
1 Heaped tb Peanut Butter or Almond Butter
1c Almond Milk, unsweetened
1 Banana, fresh or frozen
Blend

Dices Beetroot
Diced Apple
Cashews
Cranberries
Tomato
 
I also ate a banana mid afternoon.
 
Now today, Wednesday.
 
I have already started my day off with a peach smoothie
 

3 Peaches
Coconut water
1 Banana
 
Blend in the Vitamix
 
I got 3 glasses out of the recipe
 
Just housework on the agenda today, so I will be back later, but first I'm off to soak some alfalfa seeds and I am thinking of making a Matcha green tea latte today...YUM!

In Drafts

I had wrote a blog post a couple of days ago about the scummy neighbours we seem to have now, but at the moment I am debating as to whether to publish the post or not, but in the meantime things have been okay.
I weighed in on Friday and I am using that as my start weight because over the previous week I still just could not get myself motivated, well, until I stepped on the scales again and now I am motivated:)

We are having a new conservatory built and the foundations have been started...WooHoo. We aren't having a huge conservatory, just average size I think. I didn't want a huge conservatory because I like as much garden as I can get but a new conservatory was definitely on the cards and now it is in progress.

We bought it from a lovely couple. My hubby went to the persons home a week or two ago and had to take it down, the guy helped also which was so nice of him! This is it at the previous folks home who we bought it from.




I will of course takes photos when it has been erected here at my home.

I have hung laundry up on the line today and am hoping it doesn't rain. I have washed a load of laundry also. I have cleaned one of my kitchen cupboards, so a tad busy I have been.

All I have managed to eat today is a banana...Oops! I am finally going to use my new Tefal Fresh Express later :) AND I am going to pull up some of the beetroot I have growing in my garden.

*UPDATE*
Checked the beetroots but they are still small so I haven't pulled them up, actually, I don't know when I am supposed to pull them up. I could see that they weren't ready by what was showing above the ground.

A Fresh Start

Okay then, I'm ready and feeling positive! Yesterday I popped along to Asda and bought some good healthy fruits and veg and kale leaves so I can make bigger kale chips, I did buy some prepared kale also in the bag to add to a smoothie or for a salad.
I picked my hubby up from work and then home for a quick cup of coffee and then to Costco; our fee's were due this month. I stocked up on lots of fruits and veg, Oh! And match tea, pictured below. This tea is a blend but will still be good for health.

Above is a bracelet I am going to add to as I lose weight and become healthy. I have added one charm which is to start my journey and of course is an elephant as that is how I am feeling right now. I am going to add more for every 5lb I lose in weight.

Today I have had my shower and washed my hair using a new argan oil hair conditioner and I had a banana for a snack before breakfast.
I have put some laundry in to wash, and that is about it for now. I am going to get some housework done.
Oh! We are having a new conservatory built in a few weeks, can't wait.

Coming Back!! :)

I have been very depressed lately and I have also been trying a different eating plan but I keep veering towards raw so raw it is and I'm back :) The depression has lifted considerably and more bearable now.

I am going to get out for some fresh fruit and veg, maybe tomorrow.
